Becoming the first first Zimbabwean and the first from a landlocked African country to accomplish this feat
“Since I was 13 years old I wanted to sail around the world alone, now after spending my life on the water I am chasing my dream. Along the way I will be helping the people and wildlife of Zimbabwe. As a sailor with and for others”
Discover Fraser's storyAllow us to introduce Shamwari Shamwari
“Shamwari 1” is the Lucas design Class 40, built in France in 2006 that will carry me around the world. She was the 19th Class 40 to be built during the first generation of this legendary short handed offshore racing class.
“Shamwari” means Friend in Shona and she will be my friend through the southern ocean storms. She was built to be strong and capable in heavy weather and with the ongoing preparation for the race she will soon be a competative racer with a long history. I need all the support I can get to prepare her for the race, Please donate to ensure I can get her on the start line.
